Decentralized Autonomous Organization

Mutual Aid DAO is creating a decentralized autonomous organization, which is like a traditional corporation that is registered on the Cardano blockchain using smart contracts. Smart contracts allow for maximally decentralized, consensus-based self-governance, free from the inefficiencies of politics and bureaucracy. Our membership network and the marketplace will function autonomously, via our democratically-operated DAO, without any paperwork. All information in regards to the organization and the transactions will be recorded on the blockchain. MADAO will create a set of governance tokens to track each member’s stake in future decision-making. Once built, MADAO will be able to nimbly make changes in its own structure and sustain the minimum possible friction in its maintenance.
